Happy Spring: April has come!

Happy Spring all! I cannot believe that it is April already! I hope the start of this month was a healthy one, in light of the situation that we are all in. I did see a lot of memes on Social Media about the entire Month of April being a joke (APRIL FOOLS) this was definitely a light hearted thing to see scrolling through all of the serious news updates and press-conferences. On to a Side note, I am really excited to share that I will be adding something new and different in the coming weeks to my feed. I am currently working out the kinks of this post. It is surely out of my comfort zone and something that I have absolutely no experience with, but hopefully it all works out for the good. (FEED BACK WILL BE GRATELY APPRECIATED, ONCE IT IS UP) Now let’s get into this post!

I am loving how my house has come together for Spring and the upcoming Easter Holiday. Unfortunately I am limited on what decorations I have to place in my home because the stores are closed for safety precaution's due to COVID-19. But that did not stop me from doing what I could.

First I have 6 blocks in the shape of eggs that spell out the word EASTER on them. This I have on the small ledge that is open to the kitchen.

Moving further into the kitchen I have a black metal basket, which you guys have seen plenty of times in other seasons décor, from Target. This is filled with Minnie squishy pastel colored Easter eggs. I am not exactly sure what they are made out of, but they are not hard, but not soft enough to squish in your palm. These pretty little things are from the Christmas Tree Store.

Next I have a little set up on these black cubes. The grey candle holders, which have been seen in other decor posts as well, on top of these are two lavender candles that smell amazing! I also have a lavender flower stand from the Christmas Tree Store that I absolutely love how this looks together. Underneath these items is a white and lavender colored place mat, which are placed on the bar as well as the living room. The other items of on top of this table are household items I already had and decided that it would look great in this space this season.

In the corner of my living room I have another storage cube which has another lavender and white place mat. On top of this decorative cloth is a ceramic ball also from Christmas Tree Store (can you tell I love this store!) I usually get at least one of these every season because they are so cheap and easy to distribute throughout the house. The downfall is that they are easily broken. I say that because my kitten, Shadow has broken more than one, and actually this afternoon I broke one myself. This specific one has the words Easter written in the middle and is encircled by a floral wreath.

Lastly, my fireplace! This is one of my favorite places to decorate. When we first moved into this place, I really didn’t like it because it is pretty much an eyesore, I wish we could paint it, but we are renting so we cannot. In light of that, I have had so much fun adding different decor items on it and around it, this way it isn’t such an eyesore. This spring I have draped a matching table runner to the place mats over the edge of the fireplace. On each corner I have added a simple springy type item. On one side I have 3 wooden bunny’s stapled together and on the other is another one of those ceramic balls. Fortunately this one survived! To tie everything together I have a pastel colored string of puff balls hanging as garland. You cannot see the bottom of the fireplace, but on its ledge has 2 fake potted lavender trees on each end. This was also from the Christmas Tree Store.

This is everything that I managed to get for my house this spring! I wish it was a little more, but I love that it is simple. I also have a few pictures to add here at the end of my back yard! I am so excited that Brandon and I got this done. We are in the process of ordering patio furniture and of course my HAMMOCK! I cannot wait to get this done! We have also added some beautiful hanging flowers, which I am praying that I don’t kill! Just waiting for the grass to come back in! Most likely this summer will be full of backyard sun bathing and star gazing due to this virus. But I am not complaining because those moments come with a nice tan and peaceful nights.

I hope you enjoyed my spring house decor and I hope everyone stays safe!
