Home Update: Master Bedroom Reveal
Moving into our new home I have been so excited, and a little impatient, to create a beautiful space in each room. First our Laundry/Mud Room and now our Master Bedroom! I chose to do this room next because honestly it is probably the cheapest and it's OUR room. The space where we go to feel the commies, the place we lay our heads at night. It was definitely important to me to get this room looking and feeling the way I have dreamed since Brandon proposed! Yes, I have had a very specific vision since then. With that said… let’s jump in!
The main focus of the room is of course, our Bed. We have a queen sized off-white Farmhouse style bedroom suit. (At least what I like to call it) Rooms-To-Go provided the Bed Frame, the set of Night Stands, and our cozy queen size mattress. I wanted to go for a light and airy look, so the style and off white color gave the perfect ambience and matched with the lighter wood that frames many photos in the room. Three of which hang on the wall above out Bed Frame and night stands. I have no words for how happy I am about the look that the three frames and most importantly the contents of those frames give me. The middle light wood frame has a black and white image of Brandon and I walking down the isle after saying “I Do", the two outer wooden frames has our Vows canvassed. His on my side and mine on his. I love the meaning of this and over the moon that I was able to incorporate something so personal in one of the most personal rooms of our home. The stunning light wood frames are from Smallwoods. They are a family owned business that specialize in personalized images and frames. The final product came out even more perfect than I could have hoped. Talking about perfect, the cozy and creamy duvet and Bed set are dreamy in every since of the word. Having a white bedspread makes for a beautiful contrast with the off white bed frame. This leads into the mention of two lamps on either nightstand which also work great with the offwhite colors. I love the texture that it brings to the room and definitely a Target find that I will not forget. One of my favorite parts of the master bedroom is a recent purchase. A cream colored storage ottoman or what I like to refer as a Hope Chest. I have always wanted a Hope Chest because growing up my mom has always had one and I love what they mean. You can pretty much have any kind of storage chest and call it a Hope Chest in my opinion. Just fill it with love and memorabilia! This find is from Amazon.com. The very last thing cornered on this wall is a full length Mirror from Walmart. The gray frame is another example of color contrast that bring the room together.
On the opposite wall of the Bed and night tables hangs two more light wood framed word art. One on either side of the mounted flat screen, although these two pieces are not from Smallwoods, but were purchased at Hobby Lobby on a 50% off sale. The “His One" “Her Only" frames make a perfect addition to my light driven room. The pretty cool observation is that the frames are almost identical to the ones hanging on the wall above the bedroom suit, but are from two separate places. It worked out amazingly! Underneath the flat-screen and wall art the fifth piece of the Rooms-To-Go Bedroom suit sits. The tall dresser has made room for a few personalized photos and knickknacks that are significant to mine and Brandons relationship.
On the far wall in the room my families chest of drawers sir in-between two windows with sheer lace white curtains. I say Family chest of drawers because this once bright white… now more of an off white or faded yellow with age dresser has been passed down from my dad to me and someday to my kids. Right now it is getting the job done. My favorite part of this wall is what is on and above the clothes unit. I dedicated this small space to Marriage and Wedding mementos. Our Bride and Groom wooden bears from our Honeymoon and multiple photos of our Engagement and the wedding Party featured on the 4 Paine window that almost had a place in our Wedding Décor bring the entire room together.
I am so proud of this space and how well everything turned out. I feel at home and nostalgic everytime ai enter the room. Having a space dedicated to my spouse and I has a special place in my heart especially knowing how sentimental I am and probably always will be. Thanks for tuning in to the Master Bedroom Reveal! I am so happy and proud of the finished product. See you next time!
