Wedding Week Series: Decoration Prep

Welcome back to day two of my Wedding Week Series and today I am sharing a video and a few words of advice when it comes to Wedding Day Decoration Prep!

THIS WAS A STRESS RELIEVING LIFE SAVING DECISION! Having all of my Decoration prep done and out of the way and pretty much done immediately after getting the materials was literally one of the best decisions I could have ever made in the Wedding Planning process! Getting this done took so much pressure off of my shoulders and saved me frantic running around episodes! I am a get it done person and when I am motivated and have my mind set on something I like to get it done immediately so naturally Wedding planning was going to be a little annoying for me because things that I wanted to get done, I knew I could not necessarily get done right away! But with the help of my God send of a sister it all got done in the time frame that I wanted it done!

Check out my video below and then keep scrolling to read some words of advice about getting Wedding Prep done early!

As you saw in the video above, I did pretty much everything that I could do in the Decoration Prep area. I started this video process over the summer and I am so happy that I did. It has made me feel so accomplished to know that alot of that hard work and preparation is pretty much done! And there was a lot of it!

Decor Items Prepped in the Video:

  1. Floral boutiques for isle chairs in Ceremony Area.

  2. Ceremony Ropes used to close off the inside Isle.

  3. Vases for the Receptions Centerpieces

  4. Table Runners and rings for Reception tables

  5. Written information for certain Wedding Signs

  6. Packing/ Organizing Wedding Decorations into Boxes

There are a few items that needed little to know prep so I did not record those tid bits, but I included the bigger items that I needed to prepare ahead of time so my Set-Up crew would not be confused on what to do and would not be scrambling to get everything done on time.

I highly recommend prepping as much as possible! Prep your decor, prep your weddings bag(s), etc… Trust me, this is something that you will be truly grateful you did! My stress level has not been nearly as high as it could have been because I made myself stay on top of everything! I not only kept up with making sure everything was ready to go, but I also stayed as organized as humanely possible by labeling in detail what was in each box and what part of the venue that specific box needs to go to. (Ex. Ceremony area or reception area) I also tried to make sure that the boxes were packed for easy access while still staying organized. I know that this might sound like a lot or or a bit complicated, but it honestly is not. If you don't trust yourself to do it correctly I am sure that someone that you know and trust will be willing to help.

Other than that the video is pretty much self explanatory as far as how and what I did to prep each item. I hope this gives all you Wedding information seakers some helpful tips on how to lower and keep your stress level at a minimum. Let’s get motivated to do some Wedding Prep!

5 days until we say I DO!
