Carowinds Winterfest 2019!
Carowinds is a big deal to me and my Fiance'. We go atleast twice a year and this year we decided to tryout Winterfest for the first time. So enjoy our experience!
Our first stop was to this amazing restaurant, Bucca Di Beppo, we go here every chance we get. We used to have one in Augusta, but it closed a few years back. So now the closest one to us is in Charlotte or Atlanta. So we enjoyed ourselves some Lasagna and a “Colossal Brownie Sundae” (which we destroyed btw). I highly recomend it. We then ventured to shop for a sec to let the food settle and then headed for the highlight, CAROWINDS!!
Thankfully Winterfest was not even close to how packed Scarowinds was, this was an emormous blessing! The lights were beautiful and the atractions set up were stunningly done. The park was set up into different sections: Candy Cane Lane, Coca Cola Polar Bear Plaza, Snow Flake Lane, Tinsel Town, Jingle Bell Boardwalk, and many more! There was tons of activities you can do such as decorating Christmas treats, writing a letter to Santa, horse drawn carriage ride, Christmas Tree maze, and even an Ice Skating Rink. If you got tired of all the fun or needed a break from the cold you could warm yourself up at the Igloo Village, enjoying your own personal bubble. We were also able to enjoy Charlie Browns Christmas Play inside the warm Carowinds Theater.
Those were just a few of the Christmas activities you can enjoy at Winterfest! We took home a Carowinds Winterfest Ornament to put on our first Christmas tree in our home as well as wonderful memories we will always have to keep with us! I highly recomend you check it out!
Merry Christmas! And Happy Holidays!!
