$30 Walmart Valentines Day Decor: what are your plans?

Happy Valentines Day week! I wanted to share my décor for this months festivities. What do you beautiful people have to do for 2020 valentines? Do you have a honey, are you having a Friendtines get together, or something else? Let me know in the comment section.

This year we kind of did a quick Walmart trip that was not even for Valentines décor, but I found myself in that section picking out a few items that would make our house turn into Love central! The past couple of months have gone by in a haze and seeing how unexpectedly busy and EXPENSIVE life has recently gotten we did not go all out for this holiday. This meaning, the outside of our house has no décor and the inside is minimal compared to Christmas and Halloween. SOOO… when I hit the LOVE section of Walmart I got a few things that I loved and knew would look amazing in our cozy home. A few of these items I actually already had from the years past, but for the most part I went ahead and bought new.

  1. Our front door 3 heart wreath - There were a couple of options as far as door hangings, but I decided to go out of the normal round door décor item.

  2. The LOVE plaque - This small square box is a décor item that I always invest in, no matter the holiday. It is a delicate item and yet it makes a statement. Not to mention the easy storage.

  3. Heart cut out candle holders - These red beauties also come in white, but I thought the red would make a deeper assertion in this space.

The candle sticks that the holders are sitting on came from The Christmas Tree store and I got them back in November I believe. I also ordered the letter plaque from Amzon.com back in October to use for Brandon and I’s engagement shoot. It has become a staple for décor In our house now. (It comes with a stand)

  4. Basket of Rose Petals - this basket came from Target which I bought a few months ago in hopes of using this as a décor piece on the kitchen island. Unfortunately it was too small, but thankfully I have been able to use it for other holiday purposes. So it is still getting its use. The rose petals are from Walmart, but these I already had. (Thanks baby)

  5. XOXO Plaque - Here is another Valentines Day plaque that I accumulated. Again it is small, but gets the job done. I love the fact that the hearts in place of the O’s are popped out, fluffy and soft. (reminds me of those kids popup books) This item is also the cheapest to get.

  6. Happy Valentine’s Day heart shaped pillow - This fluffy thing was part of a beautifully put together set up that Brandon had done for our last Valentine’s Day (2019) I am actually not sure where he got it from, but my guess would be Walmart. Either way it is still a nice addition to the house this month.

  7. Tick-tack-toe glass plaque - This sexy piece was one of my favorites that I picked out. I loved that it was elegant and not childish. It also stands on its own. The item is glass and a tad bit on the heavier side, but completely worth getting.

  8. XOXO Glass Cupcake bowl - the pretty soft pink bowl was given to me as a gift from a friend in High School. Unfortunately I have no idea where she got it from. But I love how dainty and soft this piece is.

  9. Purple rose felt Teddy Bear - This item was a gift from Brandon last Valentine's day and I thought I would put it out to add to the festivities and color of the holiday. He got it off of a website that was linked through Facebook.

  10. Sparkle Heart Garland - This silver and red string of hearts I got from the love section from Walmart. It completes the Fireplace area by adding that pop of décor across the whole mantel. (If you have a cat they might try and attack it!)

  11. LOVE and XOXO Stands - These wood pieces are also from Brandon’s collection of décor from years past. I also think he may have gotten these from Walmart because while I was shopping I did see these in that section.

  12. Red Mantel Runner - This item is actually a table runner and we purchased this from Walmart when we first moved into our townhome. Since we already have something that will work in the space, I decided not to spend extra money on something that was not needed.

  13. Vases filled with petals and heart string lights - The vases I purchased at Walmart as well months ago. I have used them for other décor items on each Holiday season. The rose petals are from the same packet that are used in the basket in another part of my home. There are also sticks that have a red heart on the top with a tied ribbon (I have no idea where these came from lol) Lastly the heart string lights Brandon has used for us on other special occasions.

That is my Valentine’s Day Décor List! I hope this gives you some inspiration for this year and maybe next. Check back in to hear how Brandon and I spend our third Valentines together! Have a great Tuesday!
