My Workout Routine - Get Fit Stay Fit

Hey beautiful people! I cannot believe that May is almost over! The summer is creeping up on us fast, I am so ready for days at the lake and trying out new bathing suits I bought for this year! With that being said I have been trying to keep up with some healthy habits and that includes keeping active. Not only do I want to look good in my new swimwear (AND OF COURSE I DO NOT WANT A PUDGE POKING THROUGH MY WEDDING DRESS)  but I also want to feel healthy as well. Eating healthy is a good part of that process, but now I want to share the other aspect of keeping your body feeling and looking good! WORKING OUT!

I am going to be completely honest with you guys, I do not always follow the routines that I have set for the week. Some things with work or family or I just am not feeling very well could come up and it stops me in my tracks, for example we had dinner with my parents a couple weeks ago and I had to pick something up from the store, unfortunately I had to run into 4 different stores because they did not have what I needed, which costed me a lot of time. So I was unable to go on my run that day. ANYWAY I try to keep my routine on point!

  1. I try to go for a run at least 3 times a week. Back in March and the beginning of April I was able to get in usually 4 or 5 runs a week because over the weekend we would take a trip to Phinizy Swamp or the Greenway. The past couple of weeks I have steadily gotten back on that routine.

  2.  I normally do a 10 minute workout everyday. Lately I have not been getting that done because I can be lazy, but I have been pushing myself to get it done, so it is now getting done. This 10 minute exercise routine can be a full body workout that I get from a app off of my phone called “Workout for Women”. This app gives you 3 options to choose from, Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced, each plan is a 30 day full body routine. The specific plan helps focus on your experience and how ready your body is to take on a certain regimen. I am currently starting the advanced section over because I got off for a while and I wanted to get my body back on track.

  3. Sometimes I get bored with the app because it is all the same workouts that are interchanged every 2 days and become more intense the further you get into the plan. So I found another 10 minute work out that focuses on your ABS. I chose this work out because the main part of my body that I want to work on is my stomach. People look at me and tell me I am a twig and that may very well be to a person twice my size, but every one has something about themselves that they do not like. I have never had a flat stomach. That never really bothered me because I have always been super skinny and my stomach never looked bad. Over the past 2 years I have been gaining weight and my stomach is becoming more of an issue self-consciously. Not to mention the fact that my Wedding Dress is skin tight that shows off everything. It shows off my sexy curves, but it also shows my POOCH! Therefore these ab workouts are an ideal workout for me. For my ab workout I use a fitness advocate on YouTube, Pamela Reif. Check her out, her channel is amazing! I usually do the full body workout and the ab workout together which makes the total time about 25 minutes.

  4. I have also started to use a resistance band in my workouts as well as a new stretching regimen. I absolutely love this band that I got in my Sweating for the wedding Miss to Mrs. box last month. (For more on that click here - https://bit.ly/2XzrjVV ) I also ordered a Multi-Function Tension Rope from findyourlazy.com. This Rope has helped improve sit-ups, leg-ups, and many more exercises.

These are just a few thigs that I do to try and keep active in my daily life. It is extremely hard to start a workout routine and stick with it, but in the end it is definitely going to be worth it. I have been trying to keep my self on track with these regimens since February and I already feel healthier, stronger, and more comfortable with myself. This is still an ongoing battle, but the more and more I push myself to get this done, the more accomplished I feel at the end of the day! I hope this helps you if you are looking for a way to start a workout regimen or start exercising more regularly. GOOD LUCK!

A few things really quick! I finally invested in a Yoga mat & I am obsessed! I got it from the 5 and Below store in Evans, it says JUST RELAX on it which is just absolutely perfect!

I also got a new work out outfit! I absolutely love the look and how airy it is! This beauty is from Shein and I will have it linked here for you guys!
