Fairytale Bridal Shower: Shopping Venture
Hey beautiful people! My sister and I went on a little Shopping venture this past weekend to get some much-needed fairytale items to accommodate the fast approaching Bridal Shower! I have gotten a few people asking one specific question, which I am going to go ahead and answer here, “ARE YOU PLANNING YOUR OWN BRIDAL SHOWER?” The answer… “YES AND NO.” My sister is my MADE OF HONOR and she is throwing me a Bachelorette and a Bridal Shower, the difference is that she is 19 and a college student, therefore she really does not need to have the financial responsibility of both parties. She has taken full control over the Bachelorette, I have literally no idea what they are planning besides the theme. As far as the Bridal Shower we are planning it together. I am supporting the event Financially, we both are determining the contents of the party, but she will have complete control of the entire day the event is on. With that being said, let us jump right into the Shopping Spree!
Saturday was a loooonnngggg accomplishing day! I felt a mix of exhaustion and achievement when I finally got home that night. We stopped first at the Party Dollar off of Peach Orchard rd. but did not find anything useful at this location. It was good in the sense that it put us in the Shopping Zone, but the products seemed to be wiped out of the store. It also did not help that we were all pretty hungry seeing as it was almost 1:30 in the afternoon and we had yet to eat anything. (I ACCIDENTALLY LOCKED MYSELF OUT OF THE HOUSE THAT MORNING… SO WE HAD A BIT OF A DELAY) We drove to Robert C. Daniel where we enjoyed the Lord's chicken in the car outside of Hobby Lobby. After Chickfalas nourishment we were ready to explore the store for Bridal Shower accents.
I think it is safe to say that we spent most of our time inside Hobby Lobby where we found the following Items. (EVERY ITEM PURCHASED WAS 50% OFF FROM THE ORIGINAL PRICE)
Hobby Lobby definitely held most of the items that we were looking for out of the other store that we went to which was Party City. Here we obtained most of the eating wear such as dinner plates, napkins, and dessert plates. I absolutely love the floral design embellished on the desert plates and the napkins, They contain all 4 colors with the exact shade that we were looking for. It for sure describes the fairytale that I am after! As well as most of the tablecloths. I also snagged 2 beautiful pink castle piñatas that will be used as decor along one of the tables at the celebration. Whether I fill them with candy is still up in the air.
In total I spent about $200.00 in store. A little less if you exclude the couple items that I bought for the Wedding and not the Bridal Shower. So I would say that I am doing pretty good with my budget so far. When the Outing was over Kassy and I went on an online hunt for the rest of the décor that we were missing. Etsy and Amazon came in clutch for us that weekend. We were able to get the PDFs for all 3 of the Shower games that we will be playing off of Etsy. I also got my Bridal Sash off of this amazing site as well. Amazon took care of the plastic glass slippers for the party favors right along with the plastic princess rings being used for yet another Bridal Shower game. I am currently waiting on a few more items and I still have to get some table runners, food, and other last minute items.
I feel very accomplished for having pretty much planned my entire wedding and most of my Bridal Shower by myself! I do know how long, hard, and stressful this process is, but I have yet to let it tear me down. I have been feeling more proficient and proud than anything else. I HAVE NO WEDDING PLANNER. I AM THE PLANNER! I cannot believe how organized and on top of things I have been, I am just ready for the next step and becoming even more ecstatic the closer the time gets! Thank you so much for tuning in and reading all about the Bridal Shower plans so far. Be sure to check back and see what foods and desserts we decide to go with.
