Planning Sesh: Fairytale Bridal Shower
Hey all! I am so excited to share what my sister and I have decided for my Bridal Shower! This passed weekend we got together and made a plan as far as date, time, food, decorations, favors, games and colors. We are still working on the guest list, but the invitations just came in from Shutterfly and I am so in love with them!
ALL IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE (EXCEPT DATE, TIME, AND LOCATION)
THEME: FAIRYTALE
We decided on the theme fairytale because I am a huge Disney fanatic and I thought it was a broad enough subject to be able to fit not only Disney princess’s but also things like Mickey and Minnie. This theme is also perfect to be able to use the logos ONCE UPON A TIME and HAPPILY EVER AFTER.
COLORS: WHITE, PASTEL PINK AND BLUE
I chose these colors because when I think of a fairytale or a storybook these are the colors I picture. They are light and airy, perfect for a Bridal Shower!
DECORATIONS:
This area of the process most definitely will change at least a little up until the party. As of now we have decided to have a Once Upon a Time Banner and a Happily Ever After Banner as well as a framed welcome sign. The centerpieces are going to be Cinderella carriages with rose petals pouring out of them. We have not decided on the colors of the Table cloths and/or table runners. This we will probably figure out when we actually are able to go shopping for this event. I plan on having white balloons with gold glitter inside. I think that having a small accent color here and there will bring everything together. There are a couple more details that we will be adding and are still working the kinks out of.
FAVORS: MINNIE GLASS SLIPPERS
AAHHH! This part I love! I am ordering a bulk of Minnie plastic “glass” slippers that will hold a small baggy of candy, these will be the party favors that my beautiful guests will get to take home with them. I believe I will be ordering these off of amazon.
GAMES: BRIDAL AND DISNEY THEMED
We have a few games to choose from for the party such as Match Disney Love Songs and Disney Couples. And then more traditionally, How Well do you know the Bride-To-Be and Groom. Also just like at a baby shower where you cannot say baby or your pin gets taken… well I decide to do the same thing. Instead of not saying baby you cannot say WEDDING or BRIDE and instead of pins I will have a bowl set up with a pile of plastic rings that have princess’s on them.
FOOD:
We have not decided the exact foods we are going to be offering but I do know that they will be finger foods like small sandwiches, cheese and crackers, ham roles, etc… We are definitely having a cute cake and some smaller goodies. OH and you cannot forget the cute food signs!
FOR THE BRIDE:
Lastly I came up with a few things for me! Of course the typical BRIDE-TO-BE Sash added with a Minnie Mouse Bride Headband because why not! (and I love Minnie!) I also plan on having a box set up for Advice and Wishes from the guests.
I believe that covers everything that I have planned so far. This is pretty much just a list of things that we plan on having at the party. We have yet to organize anything. The Invitations are the only thing that has been ordered and received. The next step is to finalize the guest list and write up the envelopes. I really hope that you enjoyed the little bit of planning I am sharing and that if you have a party similar to this coming up or you are going to plan in the future that this gives you some inspiration for things to have at your Fairytale Party!
