At Home Date Night Ideas

I am here to welcome the weekend and share with you guys a few At Home Date Night Ideas for you and your significant other. It looks like everything is starting to shut back down again and the numbers have been rising when it comes to this virus. I know being cooped up inside isn't the ideal way to spend your summer, so I thought a few of these romantic Stay-In-Aways would help ease the frustration of not getting a fun outing with your honey.

Personally it has been a struggle for Brandon and I to spend any quality alone time together with his crazy work schedule and my daily tasks. It has become apparent in the past few months that it is highly important to start making our relationship more of a priority and less of a chore (not that it was in the first place, it had just been feeling like we were an old married couple and did not sit down and have a real conversation or eat dinner together instead of him playing the game and I watching my show completely ignoring each other. Some couples may find this situation ideal, but for me… It is definitely not.)

The most recent At Home Date night that my love and I had was towards the end of May. Brandon had this day off and while I was at work he turned our kitchen bar into a romantic dinner for two! He had rose petals in the shape of a heart, red heart string lights hanging down from the ceiling, and candles lit on every end. The mood was set with dimmed lights, the shades down, and the aroma of chicken cordon blue coming from the oven.

The most unique and sweet thing Brandon had done was print out a sign that read “Reserved for Two” and placed it in-between our plates. Walking in the front door after a long day at work was a euphoric feeling. It was definitely a date night Brandon and I needed.

One of the first At Home Date Nights that Brandon and I did was on our 6 month anniversary, April 15, 2018. I do not remember where we came up with this idea, but we decide to make our own Pizzas! It kind of turned into a little competition featuring whos pizza was better and asked for a vote on Social Media. (I do not remember who won) Needless to say It was undoubtedly one of the most enjoyable date ideas we had come up with.

Unfortunately the pizzas turned out looking delicious, but in actuality… they were disgusting! The crust had a sour taste to it and overpowered the toppings. We laughed and ate the top of the Pizza, leaving the dough behind. we finished the night off with a movie and beautiful red roses.

Almost a year ago I ordered “The Adventure Book” Couples Edition because I really wanted to try new things as a couple. I wanted some “ADVENTURE” and spice added to what seemed like a dull time. (It really was not, I really just wanted to do something different.) It is funny because I ordered it so long ago, but we have actually only done one challenge asked. Fortunately for this post it works perfectly. The challenge was to make a Blanket Fort, put on a romantic movie, and enjoy your favorite milkshake whilst cuddling up to your honey. This was undeniably the most interesting At Home Date Night we have ever done.
